Case: 707 Headband (flower)
File Date: 08/30/2016
Case No: 0043
707 Headband Flower
Type: Indica-dominant Hybrid (approximately 60%/40%)
Genotype: 707 Headband = OG Kush (F1 cut) X Sour Diesel
The exact original lineage for 707 Headband is debated, though most believe it’s some version of OG Kush crossed with Sour D. Many also claim this strain was originally developed by The Breeder’s Lab and is a cross between NYC Diesel, OG Kush and Master Kush.
DNA Genetics bred a version of 707, which is now widely available and a common pheno in dispensaries, especially on the West Coast.
The name is derived from an area code from the San Francisco Bay Area of California (i.e., 707), which is where this strain first gained notice. And “headband” is a direct reference to the effects this strain can have on its users.

Phenotype Profile: These buds exhibited several shades of green with dark green sugar leaves, lots of trichs and random smatterings of orange pistils.
Bud Density: 4 [1-5]
Terpene Profile: In their intact state, these buds exuded mostly OG terps of earth, pungency and pine. Once ground, fuel, pine and citrus took over with very light sweet notes. When smoked, this flower tasted earthy, floral, pungent and sweet. A very smooth smoke that also expands.
TIP: To learn all about terpenes, see the Terpenes Library page.
Effects: True to this strain’s genetics, the effects are a relatively balanced body and mind experience that leans a little to the body. I found this cut to have wonderful calming element for the muscles and the stresses of the mind. And no heavy couch lock effect in moderate doses.
Duration of Effects: 2 hours
May Help With: mood, stress, anxiety, PTSD, nausea, GI conditions, appetite, mild-to-moderate body pain, some forms of nerve pain (and more)
This was a very pleasing cut of 707.
