Aeriz is “the only aeroponic medical cannabis cultivator in Illinois.”
On Aeriz’ website, they describe their aeroponic growing method as follows: “In aeroponics, a plant is suspended in the air without the use of dirt or other grow mediums. Below the plant’s root zone lies a state-of-the-art nutrient delivery system. Oxygen-rich, nutrient-infused water is misted directly into each plant’s root zone on a precisely timed schedule.”

Phenotype Profile: The physical characteristics of Aeriz’s 2019 batch of Alien Rock Candy is vastly different and improved from their 2017 ARC batch. I struggled to take a good shot of this bud due to some technical issues I was having so the photo doesn’t really do it justice. This ARC bud was white with trichomes covering dense, bright geen flowers with some dark sugar leaf remnants and tightly wound copper pistils.
Bud Density: 4.25 [1 -5]
Terpene Profile: I did not request the lab report for this sample, so I will not be providing specific terpene levels.
In their intact state, these buds smelled of dank earth and light sour notes. Once ground, lemon citrus and pine took over. When smoked, this bud tasted of full on sour lemon with sweet herbal notes. The smoke was a little sharp and cough inducing. On my palate, this ARC batch leaned much more to the sour lemon and pine rather than the sweet candy side.

Effects: These were classic Alien Rock Candy effects: a potent body stone along with gentle waves of cerebral euphoria. This high steadily unwinds the mind and body, though not at couch-lock levels of intensity at moderate doses. The overall effects are like a comfortable blanket of euphoria. You may also experience a slight creeper element, too. This is a perfect strain for evening relaxation.
Duration of Effects: 2 hours
May Help With: Helped with stress and muscle spasms. May also help with depression, mild to moderate body and nerve pain, anxiety, PTSD, appetite (and more)
An excellent ARC example.
