"To Live and Die in L.A." By Wang Chung (from movie, track 1)
I do not know if this is a "live" sugar or not.
What is “Live Resin”?
Live Resin is a specific type of cannabis extract whereby fresh cannabis flowers (i.e., buds not yet dried and cured) are harvested at their apex of maturity, cryogenically flash frozen under very cold temperatures and then used as the extraction material in the manufacturing process of that extract. The process of manufacturing Live Resin is an effort to retain as much of the fresh terpenes (and cannabinoids) from the cannabis and capture them in the final product to provide a more complete terpene profile experience.
Method of Extraction: Butane
Type: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid (75% / 25%)
Genotype: Candyland = Granddaddy Purple X Bay Platinum GSC
GDP = Big Bud X Purple Urkle
Bay Platinum Cookies = Bay 11 (an unknown Sativa) X Platinum Cookies phenotype from the Bay Area.
Originally bred by Ken Estes, who was part of the team that bred the original Grand Daddy Purple. Candyland was a Gold Medalist at Denver’s KushCon 2012.

Physical Characteristics: This batch of sugar had less granules than normal and was more of a butter and even a soft wax consistency. While still very fresh, there was some dryness. When it comes to sugars with high THC content, the result is sometimes this type of consistency. I do not know if there is any correlation.
Terpene Profile: I did not request the lab report for this sample so I will not be providing specific terpene levels.
In its intact state, this sugar emitted a light sweetness. When dabbed at low temps, I tasted a light sweetness and tart citrus on an earth backdrop. The tartness lingered. The flavor intensity was in the mild range (mild, moderate, high).
TIPS: I found that this sugar vaporizes especially fast at higher temps, so low temperature dabbing is highly recommended to avoid wasting product and to achieve the most flavorful and potent experience. To learn about terpenes, see the Terpenes Library.
Effects: As with the flower, the Candyland high was pure Sativa: elevating, euphoric, energetic and focused. And unlike say a Durban Poison, this one does not inject you with adrenaline, though you may get a little anxious at high doses. I found that Candyland is conducive to social, intellectual and creative activities. I enjoyed this set of Sativa effects very much. The high was somewhat reminiscent of Lucinda Williams, though not a copy at all.
Duration of Effects: 2-3 hours, depending on dosage
May Help With: Helped with energy. May also help with mood, depression, appetite, nausea, some mild pains, creative thinking (and more).
With total THC around 87%, this was a potent ride on the Candyland slide (yes, I’m old). The form and flavors still had a bit more potential.
