Method of Extraction: Per Revolution, “An all-natural, solvent-free extract in Hashish form that is made with cured kief, which is the dried, resinous trichomes of the plant.”
Form: “Moroccan Melt” style hashish
This hashish is made in the style of Moroccan hash. The country of Morocco is located on the NW coast of Africa. Afghanistan and Morocco are recognized as the top producers of cannabis and hashish. Morocco's 2010 production of cannabis resin was 760 tons. The basic process to create Moroccan style hash involves the collecting and sieving of cured cannabis trichomes, which are then pressed and heated to form dense slabs of hashish. These slabs are often labeled with the impression of the producer’s emblem or maker’s mark, just as Revolution has done with their Moroccan Melt.
As an interesting aside, there’s also another renowned dark, dense and sticky hashish form called Charas. This hash is made in India using fresh trichomes from live cannabis flowers, rather than cured trichomes from dried cannabis buds. The traditional method of making it is simple and laborious: rubbing the colas in the hands when the buds are at their apex of maturity and then scraping from the fingers the adhering resin. A second variation of that method involves farmers dressed in leather walking among the cannabis plants so that the resin sticks to their garments and is then scraped off. These methods are still used to this day. Making Charas by hand is a time-consuming process. The collected trichomes are hand rubbed and rolled. It takes roughly 8 hours to produce between seven and eight grams of Charas. The slower the rubbing, the higher the quality. Charas even has its own standard unit, the Tola, which is 11.7 grams.
Type: Indica-dominant Hybrid (breakdown unknown)
Genotype: Huckleberry Kush v3 = Oregon Afghani X Huckleberry 2014
Original breeder is Dynasty Seeds. They discontinued their 2012 version of Huckleberry Kush and now offer v3. I'm not sure which version Revolution used for this hashish.

Delivery Method(s) Used: I smoked it on its own and with flower. To smoke it on its own, I used a clean glass pipe with a stainless steel screen. To smoke the hash with flower, I made a “salad”, which is when you top a bowl of bud with some pieces of the hash. You can also roll a small snake form of this hash and then roll that up in a joint. Tasty!
Cannabinoids Profile: THCa 40.77%; THC 12.67%; THCv 0.33%; CBDa 0.16%; CBD 0.2% (LK Pure Labs)
TIP: To learn how you can use this cannabinoids data to better your health, see the Cannabinoids Library.
Physical Characteristics: This hash was a dark brown with a soft, pliable consistency.
Terpene Profile: I did not request the lab report for this product, so I will not be providing the specific terpene levels for this sample.
In its intact state, this hashish emitted a very light cannabis resin smell. When I put flame to it on its own, it tasted of that classic, pungent, resinous hash flavor along with a light but distinct fruity sweetness.
TIP: To learn about terpenes, see the Terpenes Library.
Effects: On its own, this Moroccan Melt offered a heady, functional Indica stone. Lots of relaxation. I topped some bowls of Cresco’s Green Line OG and Reserva Privada with this hash and it was an Indica turbo boost that was greater than the sum of its parts. These types of hash, if made right, are abundant in native terpenes. As a result, the effects are typically headier and more expansive when compared to the flower’s effects.
Duration of Effects: 1.5-2.5 hours, depending on delivery method used and dosage.
An excellent, pure Moroccan Melt style hashish.
